Some XMen 3 review, gossips, news (good and not-so-bad), and trivias Well, as for the dramatic and emotional unity of the film, I found it very good. The film's very entertaining even if a lot of comics enthusiasts said that the last film of the trilogy really did not satisfy their expectations. Yes, you've heard (read) me right, it's a trilogy (explanations to follow below). There are some parts of the film that I really liked. Magneto losing his powers is more saddening than Professor Xavier's banishment - Ian McKellen really rocks! I think they killed Cyclops right away cause he's gonna be shooting for Superman Returns as Lois Lane's husband.
Some of the lines uttered were quite remarkable for the humor/satire/pun they wanna communicate. Like "i dont heal as fast as you, logan" by Cyclops; "look who's talkin'" by Wolverine to Beast. I forgot what Iceman told Pyro when the former suddenly reached his potential during their duel (I think something like "coz you didnt stay). I also like the part when Beast met Leech (the bald boy) in Alcatraz and realized how it was to be human again when his hand became normal. The Iceman-Kitty Pryde-Rogue love triangle is underdeveloped. I guess people are thinking why the hell there was a ten-years-ago-flashback to the time when Angel is cutting his wings. It's not actually for Angel but for his dad who tried to find a cure for him.
The characters Beast, Juggernaut and Colossus was very (pardon me for switching language) astig! I never saw Jubilee in the film but she's there the credits said.
I have the "fastball special" scene in .wmv format. It's quite a common phrase in the XMen comics community. It's the scene where Colossus hurls Wolverine towards a sentinel during the first part of the film. I also have the first ever of Xmen Comics series in pdf version. Trivia: the original leader is Cyclops and with him is Beast, Angel, Iceman, and Jean Grey (a.k.a. Marvel Girl who has just arrived in the school in that comics) and they have to battle Magneto. (If you want any of the two, just comment with your email)
Anyway, just some trivias:
> Psylocke (one of the three girl mutants who confronted Magneto...the girl with purple hair) is Pinay. Her name is Meiling Melancon (Mei Melancon). I think she's in Cebu right now, visiting the country.
> Vinnie Jones (the Juggernaut) said he signed up for a three-film contract so we can expect...hmmm...
> Colossus' steel body is not CGI. He was asked to wear a bodyfitting metal-like suit. Very thriftful. Hehe, I think people did not notice it.
> There was supposed to be a Gambit but Josh Holloway did not say yes to it because it's like his character in "Lost"
> Nightcrawler was supposed to be on the film but Alan Cumming noticed that his part is minimal and the make up/ application of prosthetics will take long and costly so he just declined.
Post-credit scene: Hello Moira
Since a lot of you have watched the film already, I think it is just apt to say that the last two scenes was like a foreshadowing that there will be an XMen 4. But 20th Century Fox already said that it's a trilogy- case closed..The Last Stand already. However, there are evidence that the franchise will continue. Magneto being able to push the chesspiece-compounded-with-the-sudden-bl
Anyway, something good to look forward is the XMen releases for 2007: Magneto (the movie), Wolverine (the movie). Both will have Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman reprising their respective roles. There will also be Emma Frost (the movie), too.
And do you believe that these films will really exist?

I know George Lucas really wanted to film Indiana Jones 4. He said this after Star Wars 3 was shown.
Sorry for the long post...it's informative naman, di ba?:)
